Project Brief:
This book is a compilation of interpretations of the Valdivia Culture in Ecuador by photographers and illustrators, All of the photography and art is projected towards fashion.
The color palette was inspired by water and clay, since Valdivia people were amongst the first in the American continent to create ceramic and clay work, the lived near the water, fish and spondylus shells played a very important role in their culture.
The design was meant to be simple and minimalistic, the book consisted of two volumes within the same book. The first volume contains interpretative work by Ecuadorian fashion photographers accompanied by verses written by the Ecuadorian poet Filoteo Samaniego.
